Why should home-sellers use a professional photographer?

Professional property photography is a marketing essential.

Potential home-buyers spend many hours looking at websites, newspaper advertisements and property particulars before selecting properties to view.

First impressions count and a property needs to be presented in the most desirable way.

Great photography will help a property stand out, maximise it’s value and get that viewing secured as quickly as possible.

How does it work?

We will arrange a mutually convenient date and time to arrange your property photography.

You don’t need to be home – we’re happy to be unaccompanied, if you are are.

We will usually be at a property for between 2 and 4 hours, professional equipment and techniques that will show a property at it’s very best.

We’ll edit your photos and have them available within 24 hours of the shoot.

Copyright remains with Picture My Property. A licence will be supplied for you to use the images in any way you choose.

Top tips for professional photography shoots.

It’s all about presentation.

Potential buyers need to picture themselves in your property. They need to immediately identify with the space and see themselves living there.

1: Clean! Sounds obvious, but estate agents report this is so often overlooked by sellers. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and dirty dishes in the sink are not going to be attractive to a potential buyer.

2. De-clutter as much as possible; including personal items. Selling a home is all about demonstrating a great space to live.

3: Clean windows, mirrors, taps – any reflective surface needs to look polished and finger-print free.

4: Remove rubbish bins and cars from the driveway.

5: Open curtains.

6: Turn on lights.

7: Set the scene – think about adding extra cushions and throws to sofas and bedrooms. Consider setting the dining room table and buy some fresh flowers.
